Mental Health and Wellness

Hello!  My name is Lindsey Payton.  I hold a degree of Science in Nursing and have over 15 years of experience as a healthcare professional.  I have a background in Intensive Care and surgical services and have worked as a school nurse for the past 3 years.  Through working one-on-one with students and families, I have seen the great need for promoting social and emotional support within our community.  I have a genuine love for people and I believe every individual has been given specific gifts and talents they can use to be productive and influential members of society.

I serve our students, their families, faculty, and staff across the CCS district by coordinating available services and resources to support mental health and overall wellness to enable them to reach their highest potential.  I also serve our district as the executive director and founder of The Village, a school and community coalition, which serves to educate our community on challenges facing our youth today.  If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out to me.  I would love to talk!

The Village is a school-owned organization that partners with our community to support and educate our county about the challenges facing our youth today.  We strive to deliver content to help our community learn, grow and prosper, focusing on personal safety, mental health, education and family wellness.

We are BEYOND EXCITED for this amazing opportunity to partner with Peach Jam as we host Friday nights event on June the 7th.  Families of Chilton County Schools mark your calendars and make sure not to miss this awesome event as we celebrate the end of a great school year and kick off to summer 2024!
